Join us for a captivating day of exploration on Damariscove Island! Embark on a scenic boat ride with the Boothbay Region Land Trust (BRLT) to one of Maine’s earliest European settlement sites, dating back over four centuries. During the voyage, a BRLT representative will provide fascinating insights into the island’s rich history and unique natural features.
Once on the island, enjoy a variety of activities including five miles of picturesque hiking trails, tide-pooling, and perfect spots for picnicking. You can also visit a small rustic museum to delve deeper into the island’s storied past.
Please be aware that Damariscove Island is a nature preserve with rugged terrain and limited amenities. The only facility available is a composting toilet. Be sure to bring plenty of water, sun protection, and anything else you might need for a comfortable visit. We look forward to sharing this remarkable adventure with you!
