Points of View Art Auction

August 8, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

From Barters Island to Ocean Point, and everything in between, the Boothbay peninsula is overflowing with terrific galleries and talented artists inspired by the region. There is no better advocate for land conservation than the artists that capture the beauty of our stunning field, forest, and waterfront landscapes. Since 1995, Boothbay Region Land Trust has hosted the Points of View Art Auction to highlight the incredible work of our regional artists, while also raising funds to support land protection and public access to many of the same places these artists convey in their work.

This quadrennial live auction is particularly important since all proceeds will support the This Land is Your Land: Campaign for Oak Point Farm. The event will take place at Oak Point Farm, a 32-acre public preserve that also serves as BRLT’s new headquarters. In addition to this year’s exciting new event location, the auction will include the sale of sculptures created during the Maine Stone Symposium, thanks to a partnership with Sculpture Boothbay.

Honorary chair Don Demers will again be donating a featured piece to our live auction, as well as artists Corrine McIntyre, Peter Egeli, June Elderkin, Pat Berger, John Butke and Brad Betts, just to name a few. We will also have the professional services of Thomaston Auction Place Galleries serving as auctioneers, and Seacoast Catering serving up a delicious and hearty spread.

This is an event not to be missed! Tickets are $100/person and includes a variety of delectables, complimentary drinks and live music, in addition to the auction. Get your tickets through the BRLT office at (207) 633-4818 or here.
