SUMMARY:Pine Tree Preserve Hike
DESCRIPTION:Discover the history and ecology of Pine Tree Preserve during a leisurely one-mile hike with a naturalist from the Boothbay Region Land Trust. This preserve was once open pasture and was later abandoned to tree growth. The generally forested habitat includes several old gravel pits which have become ponds as well as some wetlands. The preserve is rich in flora and fauna; an occasional beaver and moose have been sighted\, as well as a wide variety of birdlife.
