The artist team’s works\, both on paper and dye painted quilts\, include landscapes with familiar BRLT trails and shoreline combined with related patterns. \n“We walk trails along the shore at the end of the day when the color drains from the landscape leaving only contrast\, awaiting the dome of the night sky.” \nPeninsula will remain on display through the summer and fall of 2026 during visitor center hours\, Monday through Friday from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm. DESCRIPTION:Join Boothbay Region Land Trust\, in partnership with Boothbay Clean Drinking Water Initiative\, Maine Forest Service\, Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District\, and Boothbay Region Water District\, for a hands-on Live Staking Workshop at Oak Point Farm. \nThis interactive workshop will be led by Maine Forest Service District Forester Jared Gregory and will focus on the basics of live staking\, a simple and effective streambank and shoreline restoration technique. Participants will learn how to harvest live stakes and take part in a planting demonstration\, gaining practical skills to help stabilize shorelines and improve riparian habitat. \nPlease come prepared to work outdoors. Celebrate the winter solstice and the return to longer days with a self-guided lightly illuminated walk at Boothbay Region Land Trust’s Oak Point Farm. Arrive anytime between 4 and 7 pm and follow the lanterns spaced along a 1/2 mile universal access trail encircling a freshwater pond\, through field and forest\, with moonlit views of a tidal cove. Bundle up and come enjoy nature from a new perspective. BRLT staff will be on-hand attending a firepit warming station and a hot beverage bar and look forward to seeing you.
