SUMMARY:Live Staking Demonstration
DESCRIPTION:Join Boothbay Region Land Trust\, in partnership with Boothbay Clean Drinking Water Initiative\, Maine Forest Service\, Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District\, and Boothbay Region Water District\, for a hands-on Live Staking Workshop at Oak Point Farm. \nThis interactive workshop will be led by Maine Forest Service District Forester Jared Gregory and will focus on the basics of live staking\, a simple and effective streambank and shoreline restoration technique. Participants will learn how to harvest live stakes and take part in a planting demonstration\, gaining practical skills to help stabilize shorelines and improve riparian habitat. \nPlease come prepared to work outdoors. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy boots\, and bring work gloves and hand pruners or loppers if you have them (we will have extras available). \nWhether you’re a landowner\, volunteer\, or simply curious about conservation practices\, this workshop offers a great opportunity to learn by doing and connect with local conservation partners. \nRegistration is required for this free event by filling out the form below: \n\n	Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.
