SUMMARY:Gregory Preserve Hike
DESCRIPTION:Discover the history and ecology of Gregory Preserve during a leisurely one mile hike with Boothbay Region Land Trust Environmental Educator Tracey Hall. This loop trail ventures through a varied woodland with lengthy frontage on the Back River\, an eastern branch of the Sheepscot River. Hikers can enjoy walking around a small pond bordered by wildflowers and edged with cattails. Bullfrogs and dragonflies revel in this natural habitat\, as well as deer\, small mammals\, and a variety of birds. Group is limited to 10 participants with the walk to follow current CDC Covid guidelines for outside gatherings. Registration is required by contacting Tracey at thall@bbrlt.org or 633-4818.

SUMMARY:Universal Access Trail Nature Hike
DESCRIPTION:Discover the new universal access trail at BRLT’s Oak Point Farm during a guided walk along scenic waterways and through field and forest. BRLT Executive Director Nick Ullo will share the vision and development of the trail\, while Environmental Educator Tracey Hall will share the natural features of the preserve.\nThe smooth barrier free surface on this 3/4 mile universal access trail allows people of all abilities to discover the wonders of nature. BRLT’s universal access trail features reasonable slopes and a firm stone aggregate surface\, which supports hikers\, wheelchairs\, and strollers.\nGroup is limited to 12 participants and registration is required.
