DESCRIPTION:Read a family-friendly book while walking through the woods. Follow the illustrated signs along the trail as they tell a tale that connects you to your natural surroundings. The free 1-mile story trail starts from the Oak Point Farm parking lot kiosk and can be completed at your own pace and on your own time. The current story trail features the read-aloud book “Stranger in the Woods\,” written by Carl R. Sams and Jean Stoick. \nStranger in the Woods is a photographic fantasy book that tells how the furry and feathered friends of the forest respond to a mysterious visitor. On the national and New York Times best-seller lists during the winter for 5 consecutive years\, Stranger in the Woods has warmed the hearts of children ages 1 to 100.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Trail Tuesdays with the Boothbay Region Land Trust!  Every Tuesday at 10 AM\, we’ll gather at a different BRLT trailhead for a leisurely 1-2 mile hike\, allowing time to soak in the scenery and marvel at nature along the way. Led by a naturalist\, our walks will include occasional stops to share fascinating insights into the preserve’s ecology\, including the diverse plant and animal life. \nNo need to worry about advanced registration—simply lace up your sturdy shoes\, pack some water\, and meet us at the parking lot kiosk. In the event of inclement weather\, cancellations will be posted on the BRLT website 24 hours in advance. Come for one hike or join us for the entire series.
