The free 1-mile story trail starts from the Oak Point Farm parking lot kiosk and can be completed at your own pace and on your own time. The current story trail book is: \nBeyond the Pond \nWritten & Illustrated by Joseph Kuefler \nJust behind an ordinary house filled with too little fun\, Ernest D. decides that today will be the day he explores the depths of his pond. Beyond the pond\, he discovers a not-so-ordinary world that will change him forever. Visitors of all ages will enjoy this stunning picture book about the power of the imagination. \nThe story trail at Oak Point Farm is open year-round during daylight hours\, with a new book posted every few weeks. Current book titles and dates will be updated on our website. \n

DESCRIPTION:*** Today’s hike is canceled due to the rain and the chance for thunderstorms. *** \n  \nJoin us for Trail Tuesdays with the Boothbay Region Land Trust!  Every Tuesday at 10 AM\, we’ll gather at a different BRLT trailhead for a leisurely 1-2 mile hike\, allowing time to soak in the scenery and marvel at nature along the way. Led by a naturalist\, our walks will include occasional stops to share fascinating insights into the preserve’s ecology including the diverse plant and animal life. \nNo need to worry about advanced registration—simply lace up your sturdy shoes\, pack some water\, and meet us at the parking lot kiosk. In the event of inclement weather\, cancellations will be posted on the BRLT website. Come for one hike or join us for the entire series.
