Lobster Cove Meadow is a 46.8-acre property rich in wildlife habitat that stretches from Rt. 96 nearly to Lobster Cove Road. The meadow is believed to be part of a glacial outwash that reaches from Pleasant Cove on the Damariscotta River to Lobster Cove in Linekin Bay, and has extensive wetlands, fields and forested uplands. Ninety species of migratory and nesting birds have been identified on the property. There is a beaver dam at the southern end and moose and deer visit the property. Some recreational uses include hiking, bird watching, cross country skiing and hunting.
